STRATEGIES FOR MAXIMISING CTMs
Setting The Goal
· Make sure the District CTM goal is known and understood by all relevant officers
· Using the Distinguished Club Program, encourage each club to set a specific CTM goal - 4 CTMs per club
( Goal 1 and 2 )
Making It Happen
· Whenever possible, build a culture that only allows speeches from the manual, with evaluation
· Encourage clubs to view their success in terms of educational achievements
· Promote Quality meetings through theme night or special event gathering
· Encourage strong clubs to "loan " speakers to weaker clubs, thus maximizing the number of speeches given
· Encourage Area Governors to use the club visit to identify potential CTMs and set up a data base from the reports
· At Club Officer Training, encourage VPEs to have a balanced program so as to ensure a steady stream of CTM prospects for future years
· Promote the Moments of Truth program in clubs meetings
· Promote the Mentor program and advocate that it be used for people nearing CTM as well as for new members
· Monitor WHQ reports and recognize achievers

· Arrange information sessions at area level where an explanation of the various manuals is given along with some sample speeches

· Ensure as many presentations as possible at district functions are from the Advanced Manuals
· Encourage joint meetings between clubs where the Advanced stages can be demonstrated
· Encourage the setting up of Advanced Clubs and club meetings conducted in the form of a seminar with group evaluation
· Run information features on the various Advanced manuals in the District Newsletter
· Encourage clubs to identify "dormant" long standing members, who have ceased taking on speech opportunities and invite them to demonstrate some of the Advanced stages to newer members
· Monitor WHQ reports and recognize achievers
