District 51 Online

Welcome!

Dare To Excel

WE are now in the final month of the term.  June marks the end of the DCP for the Toastmasters Year.  Many members and clubs have accomplished the goals they set at the beginning of this term.  Let us now look at where we stand:

As at today, our District is still in need of 73 more CTMs, 20 new clubs and 400 new members.

So what should we do?

We can:

One

- help a member to complete his/her CTM by June 15, 2003 and submit to TI

- help a member to complete his/her ATM by June 15, 2003 and submit to TI

Two

- help to recruit as many new members as you can

- and submit their membership application to TI by June 15, 2003

Three

- identify potential new clubs

- charter them before June 15, 2003

- submit them to TI by June 15, 2003

- conduct more new clubs preview

Four

- help more clubs to achieve Distinguished status before June 30, 2003

Five

- help your Area achieve Distinguished status before June 30, 2003

- help your Division achieve Distinguished status before June 30, 2003

Let us together make that final dash to the finishing line.

The first ever mail ballot to elect our District Officers for the next term has been successfully conducted and it is expected that we should be able to receive the result of the election around June 10, 2003.  The public relations committee in consultation with the District Governor has decided to defer the publication of the fourth issue of our District Newsletter Excel 51 in order to include the election result.

And finally, our Districts 10th Anniversary Convention will take place in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from June 27 - 29, 2003.

This is my final message as the DPRO and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the District Governor, the webmasters, District and Club Officers and members who have helped and supported me in my tenure as the DPRO.  I could not have done it without you.  Thank you.
