IT is December, the month for us to show our love care and appreciation to others. It is the last month of the year, and it also marks the end of the first half of the current Toastmasters year. It is time for us to review what we have achieved so far vis-a-vis the goals we set at the beginning of the term and to plan for our next course of action for the ensuing second half year.
For Area Governors, it is time to plan for your second round of club officers training. You may visit the news page under this link for LGET's advice on the club officers training. Areas C2, E1 and E4 will be having their second round of club officers training on December 1, 2002 in Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, Malaysia, respectively and I believe we are going to see at least 2 clubs completing their 10 DCP goals.
We have just had a wonderful world class Semi-Annual Convention in Singapore last month - sumptuous meals, fascinating opening ceremony, marvellous education workshops, glittering awards, high standard contests and to top it all, excellent fellowship. Thanks to OC Simon, Cynthia and their team for a job well done. This Semi-Annual Convention will certainly linger in our memory for years to come. If you happened to miss this fantastic convention, our Districts 10th Annual Convention will be held in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia from May 15-18, 2003. Please check the District website under the Miri Convention link for details and remember to sign up early.
Well, at this time of the year, it is customary (but no less excited) to say this:
To our Muslim members - Selamat Hari Raya !
To our Christian members - Merry Christmas !
To the rest of us - Happy Holiday !
