Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

Great News from your Immediate Past District Governor Lilian Lau DTM! 

District 51 is THE NUMBER 1 DISTRICT IN THE WORLD!

Yes, we did it!   District 51 is No. 1 again the Top Presidents Distinguished District in the world.

This morning at 6:30 am, I received a telephone call from our International President Alfred Herzing DTM who had phoned from USA to inform me that our District is the No. 1 District in the world.

Thank you to members and clubs of District 51 for helping the District in this outstanding achievement.  I would like to thank in particular those Members, Club Officers and District Officers who have in the last 2 weeks of June 2002 steadfastly continued to help their Clubs, Areas and Divisions to achieve in the areas of club membership, educational awards and the building of new clubs.

I would like to thank my 2001-2002 team, LGET 2001-2002 John Lau DTM, LGM 2001-2002 Ho Fong Ming DTM, DPRO 2001-2002 LeAnn Tang DTM, District Secretary 2001-2002 Celine Teh DTM, District Treasurer Ong Siew Chien DTM, Division Governors 2001-2002 and Area Governors 2001-2002.
